At Spindle Point, we mainly use the Maths No Problem scheme for teaching maths in Years 1 to 5, embedding these principles in Year 6 as we prepare the children for the end of key stage two.

Daily lessons include using a wide range of practical resources, problem solving, reasoning, communication and group work. With a focus on teaching maths for mastery, the series is designed to improve the maths confidence of all children by using pictures and images to support learning, before moving on to a more abstract approach.

This approach underpins the principles of Singapore Maths which has been rated as hugely successful.
